Biathlon and cookies.

This weekend was quite good. Saturday evening began at my place with a couple of friends and Winter Games on the C64. Free Skating, Speed Skating, Hot Dog Aerials (weird name, btw), Bobsled, etc. I had a bad start with no succesful landings in Hot Dog Aerials, but fortunately I persevered and won in the end. I had connected my 64 with my laptop and loaded the games from a USB memory stick. Quite nice. Look it up at www.64hdd.com. We also played some Friday the 13th, but it wasn't as good as we remembered.

Stefan got a birthday gift from the rest of the band, a song we recorded last thursday when he was celebrating with his family. It was a bit wicked, but I think he got the joke. Then we proceded to the traditional christmas party at Tove. And the rest of the night was joyous and we were merry. And maybe a bit to drunk.

Last evening I was at my mothers and made the traditional christmas cookies, swedish "spritsar". It was always made by my grandmother when she was alive, but now it is my responsibility. After the traditional screwups with to much butter and the conversion between coffeecups and deciliters, we tried to use the cookie press. And as usual the darned lid came off every five seconds. We found another cookie press but realized that when my other grandmother had used it last she hadn't cleaned it. Ten years old cookie dough is not nice. Anyways, we managed to clean it up somewhat and finally the cookies could be made. We made the decision to retire the two presses and ge a new one for next christmas.

Aliens and booming organs

Think, think, think... Just like Winnie the Pooh. The stuff to think about is what to write here. Maybe it will be good stuff someday. Anyways, todays recommended CD is The Killers - Hot Fuss. Great music with a Curesque synthpop and indie quality. Although the site is in the UK and the sound is british, they're in fact from Las Vegas. Not much Las Vegas in that music, I suppose. Favourite tracks are of course Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me and On Top. Please note the quirky beat when the drum starts on On Top.

The day before last, me and my brother watched AVP: Aliens vs Predator at my place. It wasn't as bad as I had imagined it. Sure, the three first Alien movies were great, but Alien: Resurrection became crap after the first 30 minutes. And let's face it, Predator isn't as good as we remembers it from when we were about 12 years old. And please do not remind me of Predator 2. I think AVP quality and watchability was about par with Predator, but with a higher special effects index.

And lastly, don't you think this guy should've bought a different vehicle?

Over and out!
